Elections

The word 'elect' means to opt for or to choose. If there is only 1 item, I suppose I could elect to take it or leave it. But if there are lots of items, I have more options. I like options because it's defined as the freedom, power, or right to choose. And what a head-rush I get to know that I have the freedom, power, or right to choose who runs the single superpower country on this planet. At least, I think the United States of America is still the single superpower country on this planet ... For the convenience of others who may also like to have options for this significant job interviewing process, I have a link to the "ThirdPartyTicket" website advocating an open debate including all the different candidates for the position of the President of the USA. The President of the USA is a pretty responsible job and this country seems to be costing me a lot of money and worries lately so I really want to make sure that the next set of employees at HQ, the White House, is going to be competent and effective. So far, I have only to choose between 2 applicants/candidates who debated each other on Friday, September 26. They are ok; but aparently, there are 4 or 5 other eligible, qualified candidates that are applying, also. Why not interview them as well? Why discard options? Especially when having them debate and challenge each other means they work harder for me; they can research all the information and argue with each other various ideas that I couldn't possibly have time or expertise to considered. And I get to watch, learn, critique, and make the final decision. Excellent! :)
